The Boston Gay Men’s Chorus will be presenting a concert in Groton MA on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 3:00 pm. The BGMC is one of New England’s most successful choruses and is now in its 30th season. The chorus sings a wide spectrum of classical and popular music, helping to create a more tolerant society through the power of music. More than 12,000 people annually hear the BGMC; the chorus is known for its outstanding musicianship, creative programming, and groundbreaking community outreach.

The BGMC has performed in prestigious venues nationwide and in Europe, including Boston’s Symphony Hall and Opera House, New York’s Carnegie Hall, in San Francisco, Montreal, Minneapolis, Denver, Tampa, Seattle, Washington DC, as well as in Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. For more information, please visit www.bgmc.org.

First Parish Church of Groton Unitarian Universalist, sponsor of the concert, will donate all net proceeds to the Gay Straight Alliances in the four local high schools. Youth from the schools are being asked to identify the best use for this gift as a means to spread awareness of GLBT and bullying issues.

There will be a post-concert reception with a light buffet where people will have an opportunity to chat with members of the Chorus.
