Holiday Gift Bag Assembly

For the third year, the First Parish Prison Ministry Committee is offering an opportunity to assemble Holiday Gift Bags for the incarcerated men at MCI Shirley, our neighbor just 7 miles away. We do this in partnership with Concord Prison Outreach, who will be supplying the items.

The men have asked me to tell you of their deep gratitude for these very basic, mostly toiletry items that they cannot afford on their average net salary of $3/week.

We will assemble on Saturday, October 7 from noon to 4. There will be jobs for all abilities, including those who must stay seated. Those who have volunteered before will vouch that is a joyous day.

Signing up with Donna Nowak is really important. Hopefully people can stay the four hours but if you cannot, please signup for either 12-2pm or 2-4pm.
