August 25 Margaret Burdine Poetry Sunday: Bring a poem or short written piece to share, original or not, or just come to listen.
September 1 (unhosted) Potluck - Potluck — For our summer wrap-up we will have two potlucks. Bring some special words, original or attributed, for chalice lighting, opening, and closing words. Bring ideas for discussion and your joys and concerns. Also, bring some food to share as we enjoy each other’s company by having a meal together.
September 8 Rev. Elea Kemler Big church resumes: We will begin the new church year with our annual Water Communion. Don’t forget to collect a little bit of water from somewhere you find yourself this summer — an ocean, lake, river or pond or the kid pool in your own back yard. If you go somewhere important, like a wedding or family reunion, bring back some water from the sink! We will gather our water together and create homemade holy water for the new church year. The children will return the chalice to the sanctuary and the Adult Choir will bring us joyful music.
